When I go from WiFi to cellular, most of the time things like Maps and Spotify stop working - I have to reboot the phone. My phone, a Lumia 950, which runs W10M also has weird network connection issues. My wireless card is a Marvel AVASTAR Wireless-AC. So it works enough to get to the page but somehow the connection sucks.
After standby, I can do a test and only get <1Mbps.
I can do a bandwidth test during normal usage and get 80-90Mbps over WiFi. Whenever I come back to it after it's gone to sleep, WiFi is extremely hampered. This doesn't help you but I believe I've been experiencing the same thing with my Surface Pro 4. Did anyone experience this? If yes, did you find a solution or workaround? So I'm reaching out, as I imagine I'm not the only one with such issue. The WIFI chip is Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 Wireless Network Adapter. I've done a lot of research: changed WIFI power settings (disabled power saving), installed latest drives, tried out every permutation of the WIFI settings in Windows 10: nothing helps
You can imagine that this is really frustrating. After such disconnect, reconnect fails each time, until I reboot the laptop. Since replacing Windows 8.1 on my laptop by Windows 10 (clean install), WIFI keep disconnecting. I have an issue in Windows 10 which has been puzzling me for months.
